Current Van Build Progress

Years ago our family had a 1974 VW - Adventure Wagon. We had many fun family trips. This vehicle was the beginning of our interest in camper vans.

• Engine rebuilt
• New Webber carburetors
• New upholstery for the front seats
• Powder coated wheels 
• New bed and mattress 
• Refinished mahogany wood trim 
• We were high tech to have a 400 watt inverter that allowed the kids to watch tv while traveling!

For one of our van projects we built on a 2015 ProMaster 136 wheelbase low roof van.

• Front loading 12 volt refrigerator
• 16K BTU propane furnace
• Sink with grey and fresh water tanks
• Bench seat battery, toilet, electrical
• Full size bed with storage underneath
• Roll down insulated blinds
• LED lights for ceiling and reading
• Every cabinet has an easy to use, but secure latch for travel.

A van like this is ideal for adventures off the beaten path.  We mounted winter/off-road tires on a second set of wheels, to be able to go on trips in the winter and the summer season.

The camper van provides a nice warm place to stay after a day of playing in the snow.
